Antivirus, Malware, and Spyware

HACKERS ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR WAYS TO GET YOUR DATA. PROTECT YOURSELF

Hackers and criminals are always looking for ways to get into your data.  Your data is extremely valuable since it contains passwords, credit card information, and other identifiable information that lets the hackers steal your identity.

ANTIVIRUS ATTACKS

Believe or not, there are people out there who write viruses for the sole purpose of causing havoc.  The more data that can destroy the more prestige they feel they have in the hacker underground.  Unfortunately, most attacks do have a purpose.

IDENTITY THEFT THROUGH MALWARE ATTACKS

Much of the Malware that is out there is designed to get information from your computer and send it back to the hacker that designed the malicious software.  Information that is sent back, including credit card information, passwords, and other identifiable information allows hackers to hack into other sites such as banking and credit card sites.  The information that is gathered also allows people to steal your identity and open credit card accounts and other accounts such as with cell phone carriers.  Before you know it, you are getting calls from collection agencies and your credit score is destroyed.

RANSOMWARE

Another form of attack that comes in a virus is called Ransomware.  When you click on an infected file, the software runs that encrypts your entire hard drive including any cloud drives you are connected to.  In most cases, one your computer is infected with ransomware, there are only two ways to recover: pay the ransom, which we never suggest, or to restore your data from your backup or disaster recovery system.

PROPER PROTECTION IS ESSENTIAL

The most important thing you can do to protect yourself is to get our Antivirus and antimalware scanning service.  Even if you open an infected file, our system to catch it before any damage is done.  With our system, the virus and malware signatures, the software that lets the scanners find the viruses, lives in the cloud, so your protection is upgraded in real-time as the signatures are updated.
